SUMMARY:Safe Trick or Treat
DESCRIPTION:Perhaps our community’s greatest event\, Safe Trick or Treat draws thousands of costumed residents of all ages. They all head downtown for treats and to see the amazing pumpkins grown on the hill above downtown and carved and delivered by the monks at our Self Realization Fellowship. DESCRIPTION:Thursday\, September 21st\, 5:30-7:30pm\n\n\n\n\n\nSeptember Cruise Nights features “Wavecrest Woodie Night” the kickoff event for the world’s largest Woodie Car Event\, put together by San Diego Woodies. The classic surf vehicles come to Encinitas from all over the world for the 4-day event. \nFrom 5:30 to 7:30 pm\,  Woodies\, rods\, imports and  classics line S. Coast Highway 101 from D Street to K Street. Woodie Clubs will be parked on F Street\, where music will be blasting from the main stage\, and also on G Street. Other classics will be parked along the Hwy 101. \nCome to Downtown Encinitas for this unbeatable combination of historic cars\, historic Hwy 101 and a national award-winning MainStreet. You will hear live music in various spots along South Coast Hwy 101. \nThe event is open and free to the public. Every car in attendance is eligible for awards and there is no cost for displaying or viewing the cars. DESCRIPTION:Purchase Tickets Here\nThe Encinitas Preservation Association (EPA) will once again be hosting the historical bus tour on Saturday\, September 9 from 9am – 1pm\, thanks to a sponsorship from Mike Evans of Sea Coast Exclusive Properties.  The tour includes over 50 historical points of interest and scheduled stops at OIivenhain Town Hall\, San Dieguito Heritage Museum and a drive through the San Diego Botanic Gardens.   The highlight of the tour will be a rare opportunity to tour Bumann Ranch\, which was recently featured in Encinitas Magazine. Tour guides on the bus will give a brief history or story about each area.   “No matter how long you have lived in Encinitas and think you know all about its history\, you will learn something new during this tour\,” says Carolyn Cope\, President from Encinitas Historical Society and tour director. \nEach ticket supports the preservation of Encinitas’ most iconic historical buildings\, the Boathouses. The EPA acquired the SS Moonlight and SS Encinitas in 2008 in order to maintain them and make sure they remain in place for future generations. \nSea Coast Exclusive Properties is the EPA’s tour sponsor for a fifth year.  Sea Coast\, in downtown Encinitas\, is a locally owned real estate firm with deep ties and a history of service to the community.  “Many of our agents are locals that grew up in Encinitas\, with family histories that are a part of the Encinitas story.  We are excited to be a small part of preserving our local heritage\,” stated Mike Evans\, President of Sea Coast Exclusive Properties. \nTickets are $65 each including lunch at the iconic 1883 one room schoolhouse.  They may be purchased through www.eventbrite.com.  The tour will depart from the 1883 School House at F ST and 4th St at 9am and return at 12pm.   Parking will be at Pacific View.  Please enter at 390 West F St.  Lunch will be served upon return.  The 1883 School House will be open for viewing following the tour. \nPurchase Tickets Here
